Mieses karma. 🏷️ Mieses Karma Audiobooks. Her method of death sets the mood for the rest of the story. I did not like Kim at all for the way she just left Thomas. It's not a literary masterpiece but it's entertaining and a quick-read. It does not make me smile, you know in a warm way. The story sounds kinda interesting - a successful tv presenter gets killed by some space junk and reincarnates as an ant, because she collectet too much bad karma during her lifetime. When I finished translating it, I remember thinking it was an epic opening to a psychological thriller. I actually laughed for several very long seconds, tried to read more only to laugh again, and had to repeat this process a couple more times before I could resume reading.

Published in English as Bad Karma but I'm not sure how the translation would cope with some of the humour that comes from the use of contemporary jargon and the allusions to German TV and cult adverts.

Received today from okyrhoe together with a nice postcard of Athens. Thanks for sending it on, and thanks Simson-Shilitoe for sharing the book. I've got one other book and one graphic novel to read before I start this one, and a slightly hectic work schedule at the moment, so the book will probably stay with me for a full month. Will let you know when I start reading. Couldn't sleep tonight, so I finished the book. I like it a lot.
