The Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives pilot was basically a one-shot show. I just enjoy seeing all of the great colorful roadside stops and the great food being prepared at this little spots in the road. The Hearty Boys became famous for a brief time in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.
The first is an extra bite. I strongly suggest reading it if you want to easily make something delicious and be entertained while doing so. Don't like his show. I think if you approach this book for the stories you'll be more content than dinerd of it as a cookbook.
