Recipe Rating. Too cheesy Mac n Cheese…not possible!. To add chicken, just cups of shredded or diced chicken to the recipe? I made this exactly by the recipe for Thanksgiving last month and it was the best baked Mac and cheese we have ever tried!

I think the half and half makes it. I certainly agree that shredding your own cheese is by far the best way to go, but as long as the pre-shredded cheese is tossed in starch and NOT cellulose melting should not be an issue. My granson ate mac and cheese for the first time, in November. I actually used 2 cups of white cheddar and 2 cups of yellow cheddar since I love both. I loved the recipe.

Creamy white cheddar macaroni and cheese just like Panera. Give this copycat version a try. My kids are so predictable sometimes when it comes to ordering from restaurants. But at Panera, we all seem to be creatures of habit. We all get the same soup, sandwich or salad.. Capital letters help emphasize, right?
